The characterful village of Combret.
Combret is small medieval village in the department of the Aveyron in the midi-Pyrenees.  It is located at an altitude of 400 meters and has a population of approximately 300 people.

Its historic charm and beauty led to its official classification as a “Village of Character”.   It has a stunning bridge which passes over the river Tarn which runs along the village.   Combret is hidden away in mountainous countryside and little explored by tourists.  Its only restaurant serves delicious dishes and is proud of its use predominantly of fresh produce grown along its river banks.
